Bug Bounty Village
// Badge

A laser-cut acrylic layer riding on a fully assembled board. An OLED you can customise, a perimeter of programmable RGB you choose your team with, and a five-flag binary CTF you crack with three buttons. Hooded, and representing your role.

What you're wearing

Layered Build

Acrylic over PCB

A laser-cut acrylic layer sits on top of the assembled board. The hooded artwork is sandwiched and back-lit, so the RGB underneath bleeds through the whole silhouette.

Perimeter RGB

Programmable RGB traces the outline of the figure. Choose a mode and the mask, hood and shoulders light up to match - from a slow breathing cycle to full disco chaos.

Brains & power

ATmega32 · 3×AAA

An ATmega32 runs everything - the OLED, the LED modes, and the CTF state machine using three AAA cells.

02 — Light modes

Pick your side

Six ways to glow. Cyan is the default and Slow RGB is already unlocked - just buried in the menu. The other four stay dark until you earn them in the CTF.

Cyan Mode

Base · no flag

The OG rolling cycle in iconic Bug Bounty Village cyan. No flag required.

Slow RGB

Unlocked · in the menu

Gentle rolling cycle through all the colours.

Red Team

🔒 Flag 1

Offense red. Wear it if you're the one breaking in.

Blue Team

🔒 Flag 2

Defender blue. For the ones holding the line.

Purple Team

🔒 Flag 3

Both at once. Attack and defend, same badge.

Disco

🔒 Flag 4

Blinky, flashy galore. Reserved for the reckless.

03 — The CTF

Five flags, three buttons

Every flag is a single 8-bit binary string. Press CTF to open entry, tap 0 and 1 to type the byte one digit at a time, then CTF to submit. Land it and the matching LED mode unlocks in your menu. The OLED counts your flags - 1 of 5, 2 of 5… hit 5 of 5 and it flips to a trophy.

04 — The keys

Learn the four buttons

Every button does double duty - one job while you navigate the menu, another while you're entering a flag.

MENU

Open the menu, or back out. Scroll your unlocked LED modes and drop back to the home screen.

CTF ⌫↵

Press to start a flag entry. Once your string is full, press it again to submit.

0 ↓

Binary zero while entering a flag. In the menu it moves the cursor down.

1 ↑

Binary one while entering a flag. In the menu it moves the cursor up.
